7 Burntwood Schools to Close During Strike
Burntwood Teachers and other staff employed in the public sectors will be striking on Wednesday after trade unions called for industrial action over the proposed changes to public sector pensions schemes. Many of Burntwood’s schools will be left unable to open due to the reduction in staff.
Only St Joseph And St Theresa Catholic Primary Boney Hay Primary were able to confirm that they will open as usual. Boney Hay’s website quote
“You will have heard in the media that many public sector unions will be taking industrial action on the 30th November against changes to pension schemes. However, at Boney Hay, there will be no impact on our children and school will be open as usual. All children are expected to attend on this day.”

- Chase Terrace Primary: closed
- Chase Terrace Technology College: closed
- Chasetown Community School: closed (see update)
- Erasmus Darwin (Chasetown Specialist Sports College) Closed
- Fulfen Primary School: closed
- Highfields Primary School: closed
- Hollygrove Primary: Partial Closure.
- Ridgeway Primary School: closed
- Springhill Primary School: closed
- St Joseph And St Theresa Catholic Primary: Not affected

Update: Chasetown community college is open to all pupils apart from Classes Cedar and Maple.
