Burntwood students raise money for Children in Need

Students from a Burntwood school have taken part in a 12-hour basketball event to raise money for Children in Need.

The Year 12 and 13 pupils from Erasmus Darwin Academy took part in the event with a Noah’s Ark theme, meaning they dressed as animals, coming in two by two.

A spokesperson for the school said: “We are anticipating that total amount raised will exceed £800 which includes a cake sale, various competitions and donations from pupils and staff.”
